2nd Annual Pilot-2-Profit Call for Applications

Atlanta-based Program Will Address Unique Challenges BIPOC Cleantech Founders Face

(Atlanta, GA) – Green Power Ventures has announced the application window and deadline for the second annual Pilot-2-Profit accelerator.

Pilot-2-Profit, an accelerator for early-stage, BIPOC climate tech founders seeking pilots for their solutions, will accept applications for the program between April 23 and May 16 through the Green Power Ventures website. The virtual program will run June 12-July 24. The in-person program summit will take place in Atlanta on August 1-3 during the Accelerating Climate Resiliency and Renewable Energy (ACRRE) Convention.

Green Power Ventures has fine tuned the Pilot-2-Profit program to focus on supporting early-stage, BIPOC-led tech and tech-enabled startups by providing industry specific content, mentorship, technical expertise, access to seasoned energy professionals, funding and pilot testing opportunities. Preference is given to solutions that help to reduce carbon emissions in addition to having a positive effect on communities of color, which often contributes the least and is the most impacted by climate change.

“We always have a tremendous set of companies that can deliver unique energy opportunities,” says Dr. Reginald Parker, Managing Director, Green Power Ventures. “We anticipate the same will be true this year. We have put together a program that will not only augment their growth, but also steer them to a new tier of entrepreneurship.”

“A clean climate requires inclusive actors at all levels. GPV is proud to arrange and engage a network of highly qualified climate partners and entrepreneurs to continue to positively impact climate change in both communities of color and the nation at large” says Tim Webb, Managing Director, Green Power Ventures.

Eligible companies who wish to apply should meet these general requirements:

  • BIPOC Founders and company must be based in the United States
  • Must have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
  • Must have a scalable solution
  • Technology must center clean or renewable energy
  • Must be a for-profit entity

Interested companies can apply between April 23 and May 16 here
